African Christmas Market 2025 – A Celebration of Culture, Gifts & Community

The festive season is upon us, and there is no better place to feel the warmth of community and the spirit of African heritage than at this year’s African Christmas Market 2025, hosted by African Friendship Society. This third-annual market will brighten the halls of Moberly Arts & Cultural Centre on Saturday, December 6, from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM at 7646 Prince Albert Street, Vancouver. Admission is free and all are welcome.

When you walk through the doors, get ready to browse a vivid selection of authentic African goods – from hand-woven baskets to bold fabrics, from handcrafted jewelry to clothing, and much more. Whether you are shopping for unique holiday gifts or simply treating yourself, this market brings the best of African artisanship together under one roof, in a festive, family-friendly environment.

What to Expect

Diverse Vendor Selection

Discover stalls filled with fair trade and ethically sourced products: organic shea butter, baobab oil, skincare items, handmade jewelry, vibrant fabrics, baskets, traditional clothing, and other handcrafted treasures.

Festive Vibes and Cultural Flair

Apart from shopping, attendees can enjoy complimentary African snacks. Children (up to 12 years old) can take part in free cultural arts and crafts activities – a great way to introduce young ones to African cultures in a playful and engaging way.

To ensure the market remains comfortable and enjoyable for everyone, entry is organized in three 90-minute time slots:

12:00–1:30 PM

1:45–3:15 PM

3:30–5:00 PM
Please make sure to attend during your selected slot to help with smooth management.

Convenient Payment Options

Touchless pay options will be available. Cash is also accepted for smaller purchases. Free parking makes it easy for everyone to join.

Fun Extras

The market will include a raffle draw — giving an extra reason to come early, enjoy the atmosphere, and maybe leave with a special surprise.

This event strikes a lovely balance between commerce and culture: you get to support artisans, discover meaningful gifts, and celebrate the holiday season in an atmosphere filled with warmth, heritage, and community spirit.
