Join the Vibrant Street Festival: Maple Ridge’s Car Free Day & Our Neck of the Woods

Mark your calendars for Saturday, September 6, 2025, because Maple Ridge is transforming! As part of the city’s “Our Neck of the Woods” celebration, the streets around Memorial Peace Park—224th Street, McIntosh Avenue, and 119th Avenue—will become a giant car-free zone from noon until 10:30 pm.

With cars kept away, the space opens up for community joy: food trucks, market vendors, and artisan stalls offer delicious eats and unique finds. Families are in for a treat, with fun activities like rock climbing, axe throwing, zip-lining, and more—plus a refreshing beer garden hosted by local breweries including Stanley Park Brewing, Foamers’ Folly, The Patch, and Switchback.

The entertainment lineup gives the day its heart and soul. Starting in the afternoon, the Alouette Stage in the activity zone will feature performances by Zach Saunders at 2 pm, Kate Yahn at 3:05 pm, followed by JIMI at 4:40 pm. Then the Golden Ears Stage takes over: Danielle Ryan at 6:10 pm, followed by Hey Ocean at 7 pm, Jojo Mason at 8:05 pm, and the Sam Roberts Band closing out the evening at 9:30 pm.

This festival doesn’t just entertain—it brings the community together, encouraging everyone to leave the car at home and explore the city on foot, by bike, or via public transit. There’s even a free Bike Valet, making it easier to pedal your way to the fun.

Conclusion

This isn’t just another street party—it’s a vibrant street festival full of music, outdoor adventure, local flavors, and community spirit. Join us on Saturday, September 6 for Maple Ridge’s Car Free Day and Our Neck of the Woods celebration. Enjoy live performances, try new local treats, let the kids roam, and feel the joy of a city coming together—all without a single engine in sight.
